Piping Engineer ? Module Construction Ref: PPE-PTK-01 Job Location: Norway & Poland (some international travel) Contract Period: 1 Year (Possibility of extended tenure or permanent position dependant on performance) Salary: 44,000-45,000 NOK per Month (Dependant on prior experience) Job Responsibilities: ? Build good relationship with Kvaerner and Fabrication contractors and all relevant parties in the project. ? Drive delivery of piping scope, including mechanical static equipment, in fabrication, with focus on scope of work, quality, HSE and progress. ? Verify compliance with specifications and codes & standards specified in the Contract, through Inspection and Test Plans, Mechanical Completion Check Sheet?s and Pre-Commissioning. ? Act as discipline representative for Flawless Project Delivery and be responsible for implementation of mitigation actions identified from lesson learned databases. ? Cascade and implement best practices as described in standards and guidelines. ? Have high focus on HSE and support Kvaerner and Fabrication contractors. ? Drive delivery of work-packs and materials to meet fabrication site need dates. ? Ensure implementation of material receipt and preservation requirements, including use of MIPS ? Participate in baseline updates and reviews of weekly/ bi-weekly progress. ? Participate in risk and opportunity assessment and follow up. ? Participate in audits, verifications and Tool Box Talks. ? Prepare status reports to Fabrication Site Managers. ? Liaise with Fabrication Manager on matters related to globally fabrication. ? Liaise with HSE, QA/QC and Flawless, E and P, Work-pack and Completion Teams. ? Working with Kvaerner to create a partnership with strong professional culture at fabrication yards. ? Ability to communicate effectively across different national -, company - and discipline cultures. ? Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge consistent with the scope of the project. Desired Qualifications & Experience: ? BSc or equivalent in mechanical engineering. ? Minimum 8 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with 6+ years as piping engineer in project execution organisations (engineering and construction). ? Communication, organisation and networking skills are as critical as technical skills for the role. ? Ability to influence others in their own terms and communicate in Norwegian and English. Desired Personal Qualities: ? Can work independently with minimal supervision. ? Good team player with excellent communication skills. Other Information: ?
